HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
The beginning of a new year is always a great time to reflect on the past year. I want to take this time to thank the venues who hosted me over the past year: Angad Arts Hotel, Seven Gables Inn, Bar Napoli, The Sole House STL, Hawg Pit, and 314 The City Bar! Thank you to all the musicians who I have been honored to perform with, each person who comes out to a show and shares events, STL music industry professionals and literally anyone who supports local musicians. You are the real MVPs!
VOTE FOR PEDRO
Party with us twice this month! On Friday, January 10th we'll be at the Ritz Lobby Bar at 9:30p. On Saturday, January 25th, we'll be rocking it out at Ball Park Village. Private events make up the bulk of our calendar and one to note this month is the Southeast Health Foundation Gala in Cape Girardeau. Vote for Pedro has performed there annually for several years. We are happy to be returning on Saturday, January 18th. This performance will be especially sweet for me as I was born and raised in Cape. It'll be great to be back home.
DECEMBER HOLIDAY SHOWS
Last month was busy with 4 acoustic holiday shows (1 cancelled due to snow), several company holiday parties and the New Year Eve's celebration with Vote for Pedro at Silver Creek. Thanks to everyone who came out to a show last month! I couldn't do music without the support and encouragement I receive from so many of you.
HOPES FOR 2020
My music hopes for the new year are to build on the existing acoustic performances by adding a greater variety of instruments, continue entertaining at the best parties St. Louis throws with Vote for Pedro, and record music.
REAR-VIEW: A LOOK BACK AT 2019
Joining Vote for Pedro was definitely a highlight of the year. Contemporary Productions does a great job of booking us amazing events. We were honored to be named the #1 Premier Party Band by St. Louis Magazine. One of the most memorable events we performed at last year was the Champions of Hope Gala. It was such a beautiful, well planned event for a great cause. We also can't say thank you enough to all the couples who chose us for their wedding entertainment, and the numerous companies and organizations who selected us for their events. Special thanks to JRoss TV for capturing so much great footage throughout the year, including the one above.
I also sang some this year with a few other bands including Sole Vibe, Fresh Rain, Fernandez Bros, and Midnight Piano Band. It's a lot of fun for me to sit in with other groups and perform different styles of music.
2019 was one of the busiest years for my acoustic performances. I was mainly accompanied by guitarists Phil Patterson "Lefty" of the Bedlam Bros and Steve Marlow. A couple the year's highlights include: Steve and I performed my first ticketed show at Sole House in downtown St. Louis. You can see a pre-show demo video that we captured above, shot by Kayophe. Lefty and I had the pleasure of opening for Allman Anthology at Delmar Hall. The full performance video below was shot by Tim Brewer.
Bar Napoli in Clayton was gracious to host me weekly during patio season. Here's a clip shot by J-Ross TV below of one of my favorites.
2019 MEDIA
Gazelle Magazine featured me in their July issue!!! It was a treat to sit down and talk about how I got into the music biz and my life outside of music.
St. Louis City Jazz Sessions hosted me in April along with Matt Keys
In May, I spoke with Leon Davis on his podcast to talk about the infamous "Better Together" proposal and how I balance my careers as a wellness professional and musician.
