December was full of beautiful performances at holiday parties, weddings, and private events!
The Scout Guide
The Scout Guide hosted a party for members and Laka was able to enjoy the beautiful R & R Ranch Miniature Horses Sanctruary. It was a cold, but fun day with the minis.
Vacation in Taos, New Mexico
Laka generally takes a ski trip every year and really enjoyed how laid back Taos is compared to other places she's skiied. Staying slopside at The Blake, there were several great places to eat and relax. Pro tip: take Taos Air to get there!

New Year's Eve
Every New Year's Eve for the past several years, Laka has celebrated performing. Closing out 2022 was spent with Vote for Pedro...a beautiful New Year's wedding at the magestic Missouri History Museum.
Vote for Pedro is one of the top cover bands and top wedding bands in St. Louis. Laka is proud to be the band's lead singer.
WHAT'S NEW
Laka continues with guitar lessons with the wonderful Ron Jackson. Let her know if you have any tips for developing a good practice routine.
Dance lessons are almost underway with instructor and choregrapher extrodinaire Ashley Tate as Laka prepares for her upcoming Tina Turner tribute at the National Blues Museum.
As if guitar and dance wasn't enough learning, Laka is excited to report that she is starting acting classes at COCA. "I threw myself into the play St. Louis Woman without any formal training and I don't regret that because I think I had some great natural instincts that came through. But now I want to dig deeper into this art form."
Music, dance, acting lessons and more! All necessary for Laka to be one of the best entertainers in St. Louis and beyond.
LIFE BEYOND MUSIC
Wellness
Laka continues to focus on good healthy routines to keep her grounded, but vacation definitely through her off. It's been hard getting back into the groove, but she's almost there.
Classes at Pure Barre, pilates and ballet at Central Studio, yoga and strength training are all part of her fitness routine.
Still ordering Cook Unity and Farmer’s Fridge meals. When she has time to cook at home, she really loves downshiftology Whole 30 meal plan recipes. So yummy and whole foods focused.
Good Eats
If you follow Laka on socials, you know she loves dining out. Her favorites last month were Bar Moro and Bistro La Floraison (dessert pictured above). She's looking forward to Clayton Restaurant Week this month and celebrating Chinese New Year at Bulrush.
